        Although they were personable and we appreciated their free ride service, I was utterly aghast at paying over 800 dollars for a new splash shield- a cheap 50 dollar piece of plastic. I understand that it takes time and labor to install, but online estimates for the same part and labor are not even half that price. I feel extremely embarrassed for being taken advantage of by a shop that we used to trust and will not patronize again in the future.

        The service seems fine, cant really verify because I only had a couple oil changes. Many little annoyances along the way, no Amex, fibbed about repairing a tire, will not install your own parts. Totally their prerogative, but I wont be back.

        LOVE SMITTY'S SERVICE The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, and I always feel like they care about me and my vehicle. The software system they have, which helps you triage your auto repair needs, is amazing! There are hyperlinks to videos that explain why the suggested service is necessary and the pros and cons of the service too!! I will always trust my car to Smitty's!!!!

      Rachel, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Our apologies. We share your frustration regarding the pricing of the part purchased from the Honda service department. The price for that shield was much more than we are accustomed to seeing. With this in mind, we questioned the parts manager for clarities sake. Unfortunately, the shield incorporates the lower portion of the fender wells, contributing to its high price. That is why we suggested leaving it off the car, deferring to the more essential repair, which is your brakes. Ironically, you authorized the less important service and we proceeded to do as you asked. If there is anything we can do to address your concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. We would welcome the opportunity to serve you again and provide a more positive experience, perhaps with a less contentious part. Warm regards, Mike Magers- Owner

      Hey Devin, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We appreciate your business and feedback. Smitty’s offers a 3-Year Warranty. If we were to install your part and it failed, we would be responsible to provide the warranted parts. The State of California looks at the repair shop owner as the industry expert, and therefore makes a shop liable. On 7/28/23 You had a flat. Your type of tire must be patched from the inside. As a matter of convenience, with your approval, we filled the tire with air and delivered the car to Tire Depot. We really do care about your business but these needs happen to fall outside of the scope of work we perform here. I hope we were friendly in our communication of these limitations.
