Brilliant family stay. Incredible selection for breakfast. Cleaning service was excellent. Oscars absolutely exceptional bar service made our stay at the hotel - couldnt have asked for more from him.

Avoid room 2517. We stayed here for 5 nights and it was directly above the dumpsters for the hotel. We were awoken and kept awake from 3 am to 7 am every single day while we listened to the garbage trucks back up, drag the dumpsters along the pavement, empty them and push them back. We had to go out and buy ear plugs which helped a little. The toilet was leaking from the base and the housekeeping staff bothered us by knocking every morning despite having the do not disturb sign up. They forced their way into our room despite us telling them we didnt want any service and insisted that they were required to call from our room phone and tell them we were denying housekeeping for the day. Also, the light for the bathroom controlled both the shower/toilet room and vanity/closet and if someone had to go to the bathroom at night or woke up earlier than everyone else, would wake everyone up by turning on the light. The breakfast was good and extensive and run efficiently. The lobby area was nice, and the parking was safe but expensive. You can park at other sites around for half the price. The hotel staff were all very helpful and courteous and the location was perfect for walking and accessing public transportation. There was a CVS, iHop, 7-11 and Trader Joes all walking distance along with numerous restaurants. If you go, request a room away from the street to avoid the dumpster disaster and the bus warm up that happens every single morning. Rooms: Avoid room 2517 right above the dumpsters or any room lining the street if sleep is important to you. The lights for the toilet/shower room also lit up the vanity and closet which woke everyone up every time someone needed to use the bathroom at night or early in the morning. Nearby activities: Pier 39, hop on hop off bus, Alcatraz, in-n-out, Ghirardelli square, the trolley were all within a couple of blocks. Safety: There were a few unhoused people around mostly at night or early morning but they never bothered anyone. We parked our car at the hotel for convenience and felt it was very secure. Walkability: Perfect location for walking to tourist sites, accessing public transportation, and restaurants. Food & drinks: The food and drink options both on and off-site were solid. The breakfast was run efficiently and the line moved quickly.
