This was my place to go for many years and when I moved to Oakland I did try another place for 2 years but got back to this place this year and what a change. My prescription was incorrect so they took it back to replace it and than I did not hear from them. Almost a month later I called back and they told me they tried to call me using 3 phone number and one of them was correct. So they did not call all 3 and did not remove the 2 old numbers from their database. Then I ask if I can pick it up Saturday and they told me yes but no adjustment because the person on duty has not the 3 minutes time to  adjust the frame. I ask to talk to the manager and they told me he will call me back next week Monday and than they hanged up on me. This is not the place people gave good reviews. The front desk is unfriendly and making up stories. I cannot recommend this place at all. Wished I could get my money back. We paid $800 for glasses on top of our prescription. Never again will I step into this place. P.S. I did not even read the reviews before me when I posted this but I absolute agree with the unfriendly receptionist and the way you are treated when calling. I don't think the doctor reads those reviews because how could someone damaging the business still be employed at this place? Update: I picked up my glasses today and received them back without the case. I ask where my case is and they only gave me a huge box to put them in. I walked out steaming but did not want to engage further.

Dr. Mebine repeated the full eye exam because he hadn't kept a record of his first eye exam and did not recall doing it. This is poor record keeping. His staff was not friendly. He was not friendly. They would not schedule a glasses fitting for me so I ended up taking my glasses without having them adjusted. I would have had to wait another week to get my glasses if I waited for the adjustment. Poor client service. Getting glasses /contacts may not be the funnest thing in the world, yet there is no need to treat clients with such disdain and disinterest.

Thank you, Dr. Mebine and staff!  My new prescription has greatly improved my eyesight!  You have a wonderful selection of eyewear.  I appreciated the staffs patience with me as I selected the perfect pair

I had to have glasses and I went here and it was a nice place where there is lots of styles of glasses and they look good
