image We found Bob through HomeAdvisor.com.  He called me this morning (I filled out HomeAdvisor's form last night) and said he could be at our house in an hour.  (Great news because everyone is cranky when something is wrong with the TV!!)  He was right on time which I really appreciated and in less than an hour had everything working correctly again.  He then went through all of our settings to optimize our picture.  We are very low tech and we really appreciated him going the extra mile for us.  We will absolutely call Bob for all our home theater issues!!!

image I had "Mr. Bob" perform geometry correction and ISF calibration on my Pioneer PRO-510HD rear-projection TV several years ago.  More recently I had him come out a second time to "touch up" the calibration and clean the optics.Mr. Bob and Image Perfection brings out the absolute best my set is able to deliver.  I have to admit I keep thinking a flat-panel set would be convenient, but the image quality I see in the stores here can't match my old RPTV since Mr. Bob has fine tuned it.The service is not cheap, but it will absolutely give your TV a new lease on life.  I HIGHLY recommend this service.

image below is part of an pm that I sent to you on the AVS forums and you have been milking the benefits of a rear projection set for a long, long time, in effect begging people to not get rid of your only meal ticket to MAKING A LIVING .  Actually, when I returned to finish my pm to you it was no longer there, so this is it .  I am posting this on yelp, simply because you've got it coming. You had no idea how to actually access certain inputs on my HD set, and then you had the nerve, gaul, to charge me XTRA, XTRA FOR THE EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME YOU SPENT BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO ACCESS WHAT YOU WERE  SUPPOSED TO BE EXPERT IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bob,I availed myself of your services a number of years ago, and I am writing to you direct becausewhat you did in retrospect was laughably incompetent. You spent close to 5 hours at my houseand charged me a premium for the extra time you spent, not figuring out how to do what I hadoriginally paid you to do, and when I moved, bought a Pioneer Elite 151fd Kuro, and paid Busch home theater from Santa Rosa to calibrate my new set with all of his high tech, very expensive gear, did I fully understand how incompetent, laughably unqualified you were. Robert Busch actually brought video calibration gear that I had never seen before or since and a number of the calibrations he did were magical and visible after he got into secret service menus I did not know were even there. I believe the set that Bob worked on was my old Hitachi rear projection HD set which was a decent set in its day. I believe you charged me close to $500 ( an absurd amount, since isf calibration was considered to be almost voodooesque  which could not have been more cleverly done without being armed.

image I discovered Image Perfection through some threads on avsforum.com where he is prolific as user "Mr Bob".   I have a Pioneer Elite 710, which would go dark or all blue along with loud popping noises.  This matched the symptoms of in that forum as the infamous power board problem.  I also lost part of the picture from "over-scan".  Despite hearing for years about the benefits of ISF calibration, I was always a bit too cheap to spring for it.  After a move and of course many years, my set suffered and I decided it was time to fix or abandon.  Under the general impression electronics gets cheaper and better over time, I was reluctant to invest in this set, yet also reluctant to kiss this previously huge investment goodbye. After scanning postings in the forum and emailing Bob, I decided to give it a second life.  I'm quite delighted with the results after he fixed the power supply board, convergence, did the ISF calibration and deep optics cleaning.  The set is clear and natural looking.  Tones are great and black detail impressive.  I'm not sure I could explain the technical reasons, but it is much more enjoyable to watch over sets one sees in the stores. What really blew me away was watching Bob work.  I have always considered myself a perfectionist, frequently to the annoyance of others that wanted to "get things done".   I enjoy the feeling of doing things well and can appreciate a job well done every time I look at things I've done.  But compared to Bob, I am a sloppy, incompetent idiot.  Oh my God, he takes great pains to get things to his very high standards.  Had I been paying him by the hour, I would have insisted things were good enough long before he found things to his standard.  Since it wasn't hourly, what a delight to watch perfection in action and the consequent results.  He spent 10 hours and only a little of that was sitting down to enjoy watching a dazzling picture.   I can't recommend him more highly!
