image Really average hotel accommodations.
5/5 service. The employees are friendly and helpful.
2/5 hotel room - run down and poor rooms.
For $800 a night, I would expect better rooms and accommodations. Youre paying for location and tbh not sure what else. For resort, I expect better.
Rooms: Really run down and a bit smelly.

image I had dreamed about staying at this property since the first time I visited Santa Barbara overthreeyears ago. Maybe it's the years of built-up excitement that resulted in my disappointment - though I'm sure I'd be disappointed regardless. It's a nice property, but not worth the price whatsoever. The evening we were staying there - end of June 2023 (couple's getaway), the hotel was hosting at least two weddings that weekend. It was somewhat understandable that there were no room upgrades available. I booked the room just a few hours before check-in, and multiple room categories were available, so it is somewhat puzzling if there were or weren't any upgrades available for a Diamond Member within the first hour of check in. Regardless, we booked a standard King room and were assigned to a hearing-impaired ground-floor King room. The room was much more basic than I was expecting. The bathroom was freshly remodeled, but the bedroom itself was pretty basic. Even with the seemingly cheap bathroom remodel, there was a decent amount of dust build-up in the ventilation system. It was also very odd that there was a patio, but it opened to a public garden space with no separation between patios. Anyone could have accessed the room patio and the curtains needed to remain closed the entire stay to ensure no one could see in if walking by.
The pool did not seem very appealing, so I can't speak about that. There was a nice benefit including two glasses of wine each day from the restaurant.
There is an area where guests can rent bikes - there were certificates for one guest each - I'm not sure if that is a Diamond benefit or if all guests have a bike ride included.
We were in a wing of the building directly down the hall from the hotel lobby on the ground floor. Down the hall, you can exit the hallway into an outdoor breezway, which connected to an additional indoor hallway. That hallway had plastic on the floors, but the hallway was not closed off nor indicated to be closed. In the parking lot, there were boxes and dumpsters and loads of furniture (couches, rolling chairs, etc) piled up for the ongoing remodel efforts at the property. I was very surprised that the property management was alright with the amount of furniture and construction equipment kept in the parking lot. It could have easily been kept in a different section of the parking lot near one of the blocked off exit areas, so less guests would encounter the clutter.
The next morning, we decided to check out of the hotel. We ordered chai tea and breakfast burritos from the little cafe (not the sit-down restaurant). The chai tea wasn't very good. The breakfast burrito was not good either.
I will not return to this property, I do not recommend the property as it is overpriced, and I did not feel valued during my stay as a loyal Hilton Honors Diamond member.

image Had lots and lots of issues as an Indian wedding venue. Guests had to wait for hours for rooms to be alloted. Rooms were given to someone else when the same room was booked online by other guest. Total chaos!!.... Getting water bottles was hard.... After charging thousands of dollars for the two day events, getting a few bottled water from the reception counter was a challenge!!...
