Peter and his crew at Skytrust Builder completed two projects for me, a total renovation of a bathroom and converting open living space into an extra bedroom. His crew completed both jobs quickly, with a quality that exceeded my expectations. When water damage was discovered during the bathroom demolition, we agreed that one interior wall needed to be totally rebuilt, and the additional cost was reasonable. For the bedroom conversion, a couple of other contractors tried to convince me that extra work was needed and quoted double or triple the cost for unnecessary work (like providing foundational support for a non-load bearing wall, or requiring $3,000 up front for plans drawn by their architect.) Peter’s crew did exactly what was needed, easily passed inspection, and came back for some touch-up painting after I found a spot that we missed on the final walk through. On both jobs, they did a great job keeping the mess localized to the work area, and cleaned up at the end of each day. I hired SkyTrust Builder to do a pretty significant remodel of my hundred-year-old San Francisco condominium. The project included removing a load-bearing wall on the top floor, which required support work to occur on the two floors below, and foundation work at the ground level, and a complete remodel of the kitchen, bath, laundry room, and the addition of a new half bathroom. Peter and his crew were fantastic. They started the job on the promised date, and they made steady progress every day, finishing the project basically on schedule. Communication was good and his crew was friendly and respectful and always cleaned up at the end of the day. A project like this is very disruptive, but all of the SkyTrust folks did everything they could to minimize the impact and allow me to continue to use a couple parts of my home where construction wasn't occurring. When we ran into unexpected issues — no big ones, thankfully — Peter was fair and transparent and we worked them out without conflict. Peter is honest, hard-working and reasonable. The quality of the work was excellent, and as a result, we had no problems with any of the city inspections. I have received many compliments on the quality of the work, and I couldn't be more pleased. I will not hesitate to hire SkyTrust Builder for my next project, and that really says it all.
