        Take it from a local. If you are in the Santa Ynez Valley and you need a really nice lunch, this is the place.  Cynthia, Nick, Dave and the rest of the crew do it Right. I highly recommend the Tri Tip or Meat Loaf sandwich. The salads and sides are excellent.

        We picked up lunch at the Lucky Hen to take to our wine tasting at Sunstone. I'm so glad we did! This is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My bacon sandwich was outstanding. The bacon was smoky and crisp, with fresh tomato, garlicky aioli, tangy cheddar, buttery guacamole, and fresh greens on a focaccia-like bread. Such a simple sandwich but such a pleasure because the ingredients were amazing quality. My partner also really enjoyed his tri-tip sandwich, which was hot and melty and also came with a smoky salsa on the side. I will be back for another sandwich and to try a cheese box!

        I'm a local and have been looking forward to eating here. My husband and I got a pastrami sandwich and it was practically edible, horrible. So disappointed. We threw the sandwich in the trash....couldn't eat it.......INEDIBLE!!!!!!
