On Saturday, January 30th, my friends and I were driving up from Fresno to enjoy a day in the snow. A multi-day storm had forced us to put chains on our tires. We had 3 links in our chain that were loose and hitting the underside of the car. We just needed 2 minutes to adjust the chain. As a real estate investor out of Fresno, CA, I felt comfortable pulling in to a parking stall in front of the closed office of Guarantee Realty. No more than 30 seconds later, along comes someone who claims he works there. This employee stepped out of his truck in an aggressive manner as if we were on a mission to vandalize or break in to the closed business. It should have been quite obvious what our intent was as one of our friends was already on his knees adjusting the chain on the tires. After verbally conveying to him our intent was to adjust the chain and leave, he continued to stand in front of his running vehicle hovering over my friend's shoulder in a threatening way. A simple gesture would have been to ask if we needed help. You would think an employee of a local business would identify the difference between a hostile threat vs non-hostile individuals adjusting their tire chain to reach their destination safely. I hope in the future Dylan Johnson presents a better representation of this company and treats everyone in the community with respect as if they were future business contacts.
