We rented one of the lake house from them - Kayak lodge on serene lakes. It is a good place for 4 small family - 8 adults & 2 kids max - bunk beds only for kids. The reservation process was smooth & professional. House has great back side lake view, great kitchenware & furnishings. The house is for 4 small families as its a 4 bedroom house with two bunk bedrooms. 3 floors, each has 1 bedroom and 3rd floor has master bedroom as well. The master bedroom is huge but other 3 bedrooms are small with queen beds just space to walk around. The 1st floor bunk bedroom with siding doors is definitely not a bedroom…a walking closet and this room is aloof for kids next to the house entrance. Kids slept in this room and got cold since the temperature couldn’t be controlled with loose sliding doors. The bunk beds are for kids only. So can accommodate max 8 adults (2 adults per bedroom) and 2 kids (2nd floor bunk bedroom). Can’t use 1st floor bunk bedroom. So plan for 1 king, 3 queen, & 2 bunk beds. Few issues needs work: Restroom door locks didn’t work so we kept tables by the door. One restroom window didn’t have any screen so no privacy & couldn’t use. Management said there was no place outside that had view access inside. But houses exist with direct view to the shower & most of the space inside. It was hard for 5 families (10 adults & 4 kids) for 4 days with one-time limited towels since the laundry dryer didn’t work. Called the management…got a call back promptly but no follow up or solution. Internet kept resetting so tv apps kept reloading and cable tv didn't work. It was frustrating so mostly used our phone data. The 2nd floor bedroom opposite bunk bedroom has a faulty heater. The room was heating up way high even at the lowest setting and couldn’t use the room. It be great either the property management company or the owner be in contact with the customer but not under both relationships. No restaurants nearby when heavy snow, so we had every dinner and breakfast in house. We brought and used tons of disposable plates, cups and spoons for everyone. We moved the mattresses around to accommodate the 5th family somewhere to sleep and at the end kept all back as it were. We washed all the vessels, added cups in the dishwasher, ran it, and took the trash out. We took care of it as our own since we rent out houses as well. But the property management team claimed that "There was more wear and tear on the home from our group than they prefer". It was disparaging to hear and definitely not acceptable. Customer service approach needs to be better.

Very good service, beautiful cabins, always very prompt dealing with any questions..rent twice a year on serene and always happy with cabins, we rent different cabin each time .

Owned by a local family, vacation rental service. Especially good for renting Serene Lakes homes.
