Great accommodation in a perfect location for the city center. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom is well-equipped, and there are nice seating areas in the front garden, one even with a cozy fireplace.
Very friendly check-in. The price includes a voucher for a coffee and a pastry for breakfast at the nearby bakery.
We feel very comfortable. Thank you.

We saw the Viking Inn on Motel Rescue, We had planned to visit Solvang on our Spring break and had reservations at a different location. After watching the episode I changed my reservations and was not disappointed. We had a great time, it is perfectly located, we parked and did not have to drive to anywhere, everything is in walking distance from the inn.
Traveling with 3 teenage girls the courtyard was very inviting for some quiet time for Mom in the late afternoon. I would recommend the Viking Inn to anyone visiting Solvang.
Walkability: You can walk to all the shops, restaurants and bakeries.

Wonderful new renovations and very easy and seamless check in and out policy. Love that a code is texted to you for entry, instead of having to keep up with a key card. Very friendly staff too.
Nearby activities: Restaurants, park, shopping
Walkability: Very close to main street and restaurants and shopping.

So unwelcoming.
We were surprised to find no place to unpack our bags. The sign posted in the bathroom suggests they are open to suggestions. So we suggested they need shelves or drawers or something. The manager asked "didn't you look at the pictures on the website?" as though it were our fault for picking the wrong place. (To be fair she was right. The Viking inn is absolutely the wrong place.)
And for what it's worth the website picture shows the same closet as in my photo.... but without the refrigerator or microwave.... making it look like an actual functional closet.
The innkeepers think it is unusual for travelers to want to unpack; and for the rare ones who do, it is their responsibility to assure that exotic amenities like a drawer, hanging space or a flat shelf exist prior to booking.
Avoid.
Rooms: No closet or shelf space for clothes. Minimal narrow shelf in bathroom. Clean enough with a Trading Spaces fail vibe (bench made from peg board?!).
