First & Oak did a fantastic job catering our Annual General Meeting. The food was local, fresh, and extremely delicious and they catered to those with food sensitivities with ease. The staff was lovely to work with. We would definitely recommend their event catering services.

Delicious food! We started with the Roasted Cauliflower which has an interesting blend of flavors from the vinaigrette and the crispy bits (quinoa & almonds).
For our mains, we ordered the Breast of Duck and the Wild Diver Scallops (fettuccine). The duck was perfectly cooked and the pasta was creamy and flavorful.
Ended the meal with the tasty Chocolate & Honey mousse.
Make sure to make a reservation!

The restaurant is cute—we were sat on the sidewalk as part of their patio. The host and waitress were very pleasant and welcoming. There service is great, however, the food is not very good.
We started with the duck wings which were very good and we were excited for the rest of the dinner but then the mains came.
We had the lamb served with a blackberry relish. The lamb was dry, under seasoned, and the sauce was weird—this strange blend of mushroom, sour cherries, and red wine—it should have been good but it was not.
We also had the seared scallops with hand cut fettuccini. The scallops were cooked perfectly but the pasta was mushy and the sauce was also under seasoned.
Lastly, we had the New York strip steak which was just ok. Definitely not worth $45.
It’s supposed to be one of the best restaurants in solvang and it has the prices of what should be a great restaurant. But the food was just ok.
