        About 2003, I began taking my 2001 Audi A4 to German Motors. Over the following 11 years, as I put nearly 300k miles on it, nearly totaled it running over a huge rock in a landslide, and more, George, the owner, assured it was well cared for. They only use OEM parts. Their prices are fair, and their service is dependable. When I'm in town, they now service my 2014 Audi A4. George generously took the time to guide me on selecting a dependable used A4, which I drive now. He's a walking Audi encyclopedia.Keep in mind that great mechanics, like German Motors, are in high demand. They are usually back-logged with lots of cars to fix. They're focused on doing great work on their customers cars in a timely fashion; not texting, tweeting, updating social media pages, and so on. They don't even have time for a simple, one-page web site. They have a heavy workload just from word-of-mouth recommendations. So, if you're an impatient person who needs constant updates and reassurance, go to the dealer for service.

        Recently moved to Truckee so I tried some newer shop there and was charged twice what George charges for an oil change! Sticking with George from here on out. He is a quiet guy but knows Audis like few do. Runs a no nonsense business and it shows. I highly recommend them
