I've never seen a management company with such poor projection of availability and management. We've been on the list since August 22. Reported to Travis in January. We did weekly check-ins just to stay updated. Travis homes told us over and over we were #21 on the list and to expect 9mo-1 year (or more) for a home. After 2 months of self-funded temp housing we ended up buying a house due to the lack of decent rentals on the economy. The day after going under contract, TH calls us with a housing offer... I declined and said to remove me from the list since we bought due to the information we were given. Now, a few months later they offer us yet another house. 2 housing offers in a 4 month period, yet when we called for updates we still got the same "expect a 1 year wait."
The lack of availability projection and management is a disservice to our airmen and their families. You force our Airmen into less than ideal living and financial situations with your lack of management. Do better and stop screwing our Airmen over. The housing economy on the local economy is trash and you're bleeding our Airmens families out financially.

We have been living in Travis Homes for over 2 years now and are very happy. The area is pretty quiet and convenient. Maintenance is very responsive and easy to contact through the portal.

If you choose to live in the Onizuka Flats just know that you, your clothes, your car, and everything you own will STINK like a 50 year old cheap apartment. It's demoralizing. They should've been torn down decades ago, but today serve as a profit vehicle for BB. They don't have the expense of building anything new.

The worst base housing company I have dealt with. Many choose on base because off base is expensive. For the price, not bad; just horrible with how they handle everything. They are so bad with work order management, they hired a call center to do it for them which is worse than before. They cherry pick with what houses have to follow the rental agreement then they come by your house and say that there is a rule in place for something which isnt in the hand book. Bug infestion which they choose not to handle, appliances which they choose not to replace, and a fox tail problem which they choose not to address. They even got in trouble a few years back for working the books with work orders. This company is a joke and the staff especially the one guy with the lisp (i hope he isn't part of the management) are not in a hurry to resolve anything. As long as they get your buck o'five, they are good. Theres a reason why Balfour Beatty has the reputation they do.

In the time we have lived in this housing we have had to deal with incredibly rude staff, an uncontrollable ant infestation that cost us hundreds in lost property, a bug problem that they refused to address (The doors and windows aren't sealed nearly well enough to keep them out. We would watch insects walk up to our back door and come right inside), the loss of our air conditioning in the dead of summer 3 times as well as the loss of heat to many times to count, a broken dishwasher, broken oven (both took over a week to replace) and a broken kitchen sink that no matter how many times we called to get it fixed still leaks and has damaged anything and everything that is put under it. They don't take care of the lawns and allow them to die in the dead of summer and turn to dirt and weeds. Because of their negligence we worried every summer that the common areas they neglected would catch fire and on one occasion nearly did. We've had black mold in our home that we've had to take care of ourselves because they wont do it. Now that we are PCSing as a parting gift they are refusing to acknowledge our EFMP clearance as a special circumstance that made it impossible to put in the required 30 day notice, as dictated by our leadership and the EFMP office so we will be paying out of pocket 5 days worth of rent to a home that we won't be living in. Essentially they are stealing about $500 from us in rent that they could have easily worked with us to adjust, but won't. They are not here to help military families. They do not care and have proven that multiple times. Unfortunately for many families this is the only option as rent off base or buying isn't an option due to cost but I hope that extra $500 was worth it! It sure does mean a lot to us moving across that country with two young kids.
