We stayed one night and while in town visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The room was clean, bed was comfy and it was quiet.

The owner kept on about no smoking in his rooms yet the room had six cigarette burns on top of the refrigerator. The room had to smell to it because the clean out for the septic line was right there underneath the nightstand table. The toilet hadn't been cleaned but still had the seal on it like it had been cleaned. On my next visit the owner tried to say that I left the room all dirty and that he would charge me $89 for a night and $100 deposit and keep the deposit if I still wanted to stay there. Funny he said I left it a mess when his own housekeeper looked at me like she didn't know what he was talking about.

This was really a mixed bag.
The good: comfortable bed, convenient location, fun aesthetic, nice staff, spacious room cabins.
The bad: the room was half clean- like some parts clearly were cleaned, but there was still hair in the shower drain and the surfaces of bedside tables and such were not wiped clean. The bedsheets were clean, but the comforter was not. The parking lot and parts of the little cabin rooms are really showing their age and will need a safety redo soon. The gravel filling in where the asphalt is wearing away is loose.
For a cheap overnight where just a clean bed matters, this is good.
