Called them out for what I believed was a "frozen" lock on a side yard gate. (It hadn't been opened in years, but thought I'd get it taken care of.) I was told over the phone that there was a $29 fee to come out , but that if I used there service for repairs, that fee would roll into or apply to the total. When tech came out (to his credit he appeared within 15 minutes), I was immediately told that lock could not be fixed and needed replacement. Was quoted $295 for new lock. Tech who appeared did not seem to know what he was doing, spending about 2 hours replacing the lock, at one point even being on the phone apparently getting instructions. When I get the invoice at the end, I was charged an additional $85 "emergency lockout" fee (this was neither an emergency, nor a "lockout" situation), plus that service call fee was added into the total bill, which came out to a grand total of $479, a far cry from the $295 quoted. Poor, unprofessional service and price gouging to boot. Not recommended. Side note/addendendum: Company reached out to me to say that they would rectify the situation (as you can see from the response), but they went radio silent after two emails. So much for quality service. They apparently rely on 3rd party vendors to do their work but don't stand by their choices. Otherwise, I would have heard back from them after several days. I did not. Here's my response on Facebook: an I tell you about KeyMe Locksmiths? I called them out for what I believed was a "frozen" lock on a side yard gate.
