Our garage door came slamming down with full force one morning. We were lucky that nobody in our family (including my two small children) were hurt. The lesson for us was to never cut corners on a garage door installation.
8 years ago, a contractor that we hired used a handyman who installed our door. He used the wrong parts, and placed important mechanical pieces in the wrong location, which resulted in this serious malfunction (broken door spring/shattered gears).
Vic from Sears gave us the support and sense of safety we needed. He was very knowledgeable about the door's mechanics. He was courteous and provided us with the appropriate options. Thank you.

Vic arrived promptly, made major repairs to our 18-year-old garage door the same day. Courteous, professional and explained all facets of work done. Repair more expensive than we were hoping, but a lot cheaper than a new door. Door whisper quiet now. Very happy with result. 2 thumbs up!

Our service man James was jolly, nice, pleasant to talk to, and helpful. If I need service again I would like for him to service us. He seems to enjoy his job........serving people with a smile.
