        Of course we need a fire station on the Lake Almanor peninsula and these guys do a good job keeping us protected. But when they're not fighting fires this station creates a lot of noise. Early every morning they run their engines outside the station, filling the otherwise quiet community with noise and pollution. Also, do they really need to mow their lawn at 8:00 am when they know everyone around them is on vacation? There must be a way to maintain fire equipment without being so disruptive to the quiet that so many of us come here to enjoy.
