I have rented from them for years at our yearly trip to Lake Almanor. We were evacuated due to the Dixie Fire and they would not refund any of my money. I was told to call the owner to try to get some refund, calls to the owner were not returned. Others from our group rented across the lake and were not charged for their rental. Horrible customer service and rude employees. I would not recommend Knotty Pines and will not be renting from them in the future.

If one of largest wildfires in the state's history, causing horrid air quality and evacuation orders, isn't enough reason to give your would-be customers full refunds, you might be an amoral dirtbag. I recommend renting equipment elsewhere.

We had a boat and jet ski reservation, however due to the Dixie Fire the entire area is either under evacuation orders or warning. It is also under a federal emergency and authorities are telling people to avoid the area and not to come. It would be more dangerous to bring people to an area and need to evacuate. My Airbnb canceled everything with full refund. I asked the marina for a refund due to these particular circumstances and only was given a partial refund. I asked if it could be pushed forward to the upcoming year and they said no-only until September. The women explained they have boats to maintain and they wouldnt make money if people got refunds. We do not live in the area. Very very disappointed in this situation. This is an emergency fire situation not me wanting to cancel due to bad weather. Would absolutely not rent when we go back
