I was looking for an electrician in Denver- fast! A few circuits in our home blew out on a 95° Day and we only have a swamp cooler, and so we were looking at an emergency. Everyone else I called said they couldn't make it till that night or even the next day. Colt send out a technician within 20 minutes of my call. Vy was considerate, and didn't make a mess even when he went up into our attic full of loose insulation. He fix the problem in less than an hour, and it was definitely reasonably priced. The swamp cooler was back up and running and the day was saved! Definitely would recommend these guys.

I had several ceiling fan boxes installed and paid the 50% via credit card and paid the balance of the total via check. They then proceeded to charge my credit card for the other 50% again. I faxed them the info to get a credit on February 26 and still having gotten my refund. Very disappointing.

I too went through Home Depot, and Mr. Electric came in to install 8 can lights, two ceiling fans, and 3 switches. First, they were supposed to come in on a certain day, and they called at about 4:50pm the day before saying that the guy wasn't going to make it out the day of the install, and that he'd make it out the next day. So, he came out the next morning. It took the installer an entire day to install a fan and one switch, and said he'd come back the following day with an apprentice to finish up. I paid them in full, about $1,700. Normally I wouldn't do that, but I did it through Home Depot's project loan, so I have no worries about getting my money back. The electrician performed a no call/no show the next day, so I called them and said that your guy didn't show up; they said "we'll look into it". The installer called at about 4pm that day and said that he will be in first thing in the morning. Again, a no call/no show. They called back later in the day asking if I see the installer, would I please have him contact their office.......uh, what? After multiple calls, they finally just stopped returning calls altogether. This was a one-day install that was supposed to be done before Thanksgiving, as we were hosting it this year, which they promised would happen - here we are, a week-and-a-half later, with only one ceiling fan and one switch installed. I've already I know sometimes how the service industry works; this wasn't a high-paying job, so I'm sure that a bigger job came along for which they needed our installer, but to take my money and quit returning phone calls is absolutely disgusting and intolerable. My complaints have gone far beyond this review, including to the Atlanta coroporate office of Home Depot, who is opening an investigation, and will continue on to the BBB. This is probably the single worst customer service I've ever experienced in my 40 years on this planet, so my advice to anyone reading this would be to ask Home Depot to NOT have Mr. Electric come out to your house should you request contracting services from them.

Home Depot set me up with an appointment with them. They failed to show or call for my first appointment after they gave me a 4 hour window. I waited an extra hour and gave them a call to see what was going on and they asked if I could wait another hour for someone to drive across town. I told them I couldn't so they rescheduled me for a few days later. Once again, they failed to show or call even on my second appointment. Don't waste your time with them like I did.

Just had a terrible experience with Mr. Electric. I went through Home Depot and was quoted a price of $119 per fan install. After a reschedule, I called and they "accidently" put me on a different day....then told me they would be to my house in the next half hour. 3 hours later the guys shows up and gives me a ridiculous quote. I said forget it, I would rather spend the time finding another company to do it.
