After 5 months, system is still not active. Repeated calls and standard response is "I'll contact the Project Manager" with no follow-up. This maybe one of my worst decisions.

I am not sure where to start on my experience with Vivint Solar, so I will just start with this. My experience with Vivint has with out a doubt, been the worst experience I have had with any single company. For those wanting just a quick review, do not use this company. It took them almost 10 months to finish the process. Throughout the process, they failed to meet their own set expectations, and repeatedly shifted blame to other companies for issues they were suppose to take care of. The technicians have been horrible (up until the final one that got everything working) and the customer service has been worse than some of the big cable companies. No exaggeration needed. If you want more specifics, here they are. It is a bit of a story, and unfortunately google does not give me enough room to write all of it, so I will make it as short as I can. I purchased my home and was moved in by the end of December 2020. That purchase included a Solar system installed by Vivint, which were installed prior to moving in. As of 9/28/2021, they have finally been turned on. When the system was first sold to me, I was told it would be a 23-month process, including any delays that may have been a result from covid-19. It wasnt until the 3-month mark that I even had a service technician come to my home to, what I thought, was turn the system on. Turns out, the process had not even been started. You see, they had not put on the proper stickers which was required to submit the paperwork to my energy provider, and this had delayed them three months. As I would soon learn, this is going to be a constant issue. It took Vivint 8 months to submit the correct paperwork to my energy company in order to request my authorization to operate my panels. It wasn't until September 3rd, I finally got it. Of course it didn't work, and it then took another 3 weeks to even get a technician scheduled to come look at it. Turns out, the installation was not done properly, and a few more things needed to be turned on. The final technician was great. Leave it to the guys on the street to apologize for their companys poor business practices. I would not wish this level of service on anyone. At this point, I hope the panels work great. There really isn't an option to return them anymore, or I would.

Where is the negative star option? My husband & I signed the contract Dec. 5 2020 & we still do not have service. The panels didn't even get put on until May & we have made our payments every month despite not having service. I can not get a hold of anyone in customer service & my rep is MIA. I now what the panels off my roof & my home stored to it original condition.

Its taken now 6 months to even get the panels on my roof and Im still not hooked up. I would take days off of work to set up install and they would show up with half the crew to only do half the job and have to come back later. Wasting my time and money! The sales team is aggressive and condescending. They insult your intelligence when you have questions and are pushy to get you on a contract. I recommend solar panels but not through these unprofessional clowns.
