Sassafras Bed and Breakfast

Sandy and her husband were exceptionally accommodating. I didn't expect to have breakfast prior to my 4:30am departure, however it was all a part of the wonderful hospitality at Sassafras.

I’ve stayed at Sassafrass multiple times. It is my #1 choice in lodging when in NW CT. The home is in perfect condition, the furnishings/deco are all first class (a slightly modern style), the place is immaculate, and the hosts are friendly/worldly/articulate and just very nice. It isn’t a 250 year old historic house with slanted floors, cracked plaster, quirky plumbing, and over stuffed with country deco clutter. I’d call it a modern American country style with a touch of European culture. Please don’t stay here during historic race weekends at Lime Rock ... I don’t want any competition for getting a reservation at Sandra’s place.

Sandra is the best hostess you could ever ask for. Their house is the perfect place to set up your "home base" while you do whatever it is you do. We will definitely return the next time we hit western CT. Thank you Sandy!

Owners are absolutely marvelous and kind, location and comfort is great, love the garden.
