Clarion Hotel & Conference Center Wilmington New Castle

This place feels like the shining!! We rented 5 rooms, my rooms shower head was completely covered in black mold, there was a huge glob of hair in the shower drain along with hairs on the shower stall itself. They claimed rooms were renovated but all I saw was new flooring. The phone was yellow! From once being in a smoking room yes yellow!! The AC unit had large amounts of drywall and other construction materials in it. The door latch was held on by 3 different screws all of which were loose. The free breakfast lmao!!! What a joke the bread was hard as a rock and stunk of being old. Waffle machine barely worked, no bowls for cereal nor milk.....This place is a joke!! Even at a 20.00 price point a night it would be to much, we spent 1200 for the week had to supply our own cleaning supplies etc. I wish I could post pictures.

Came down to Delaware and stayed at this hotel on 31 January 2020 because my organization had a negotiated rate for a meeting we were to have today (1 February 2020). As you ride up to the property, you pass a cemetery.😯 Entering the Lobby, it is nice and spacious. Check-in was quick and easy, as the Front Desk Staff had my room key ready. Thinking I may have been wrong in my initial assessment, I proceeded to my room by way of the elevator to get to the second floor. The elevator was older, and needs an upgrade. After getting off of it, I proceeded to my room...... This is the FIRST hotel that I have been in that had hardwood flooring and tile throughout. I thought "this is different," and proceeded into the room. After unpacking my bags, I realized that THERE WAS NO CLOSET IN THE ROOM. In a little space right by the door there was a safe almost on the floor (that did not work), and hanging up was an ironing board. No iron was present. I went back down to inform the Front Desk, to which an iron was brought to me a few minutes later. While I was waiting, I noticed the drapes were hanging, to which upon further inspection one of the hooks was broken. There were 5 lights in the room, 2 of which were inoperable. As I started to iron my clothes, the water was leaking from the iron. Add to that the ironing board was weak, and got lower and lower as I continued to iron my clothes. 😡. I had to prop it up against the wall to finish ironing my clothes. I went to my meeting and returned to the room that night. The bed was comfortable, and there were no issues. This morning when I went to the bathroom to prepare for the day, I noticed I had the towel you put down for coming out of the shower, 2 large towels, 2 hand towels, but only one washcloth...... The other washcloth looked as if it had been used and put on top of the shower curtain to dry. The bathroom was otherwise clean, so I put the used washcloth in the floor and closed the door. As I was closing the door, I noticed 2 holes in the drywall:. One at the top of the wall near the door and one almost to the bottom. I checked out of the room and went downstairs for the continental breakfast. Breakfast was warm, and there were no issues. It was served in the area that used to be a restaurant, but is no longer utilized for that purpose other than serving the breakfast. However, as I looked over on the side that was blocked off, there was what appeared to be a feeding station for a pet. 🤢 Choice Hotels, you HAVE to do better.

I made a big mistake chosing this hotel, to start of someone was smoking weed at a room close to ours the bed sheets weren't change they were so dirty (disgusting) there were some dirty towels and a pajama that someone forgot in there before us, I even found some type of a buf on the bed .....smh. I could go on and on but it was to much I will add some pictures, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.....!!!!
