We had made reservations at 12 pm on a Saturday for four . The service was extremely slow . We kept sitting there for 1:40 minutes before food was served . The food was served in installments, so we could not eat properly . How can you eat just Naan or roti without any meat or vegetable dish that we had ordered and was served much later. The Beetroot was not fresh and seemed from a can . If this was Michelin star , Then I have to doubt the rating givers . Rest of the food was tasty other then saag paneer .

Loved the food! I had a lamb chop and butter chicken with both types of naan. My boyfriend thought the consistency for the butter chicken (gravy) wasnt as thick as the way its typically cooked but I did not mind that (his family is Indian). The lamb chop was to die for! Amazingly flavored, tender, and juicy. We really felt taken care of by the staff, following up every so often.

My husband and I came to Washington on business for one night. The weather was nasty: cold rain drizzled. We were looking for a restaurant for dinner and saw this restaurant: Karma modem Indian. He immediately attracted us with a stylish design but with elements of Indian culture. Our lunch delighted both the eyes with its presentation and the palate with its taste. We ordered baked vegetables and naan with wild mushrooms and truffle for the appitazer. The food was freshly prepared, hot and very tasty. Then our wonderful waiters brought The palate cleanser. And after a short rest, we started on the main menu: my husband had LAMB ROGANJOSH, I had SAFFRON DUCK with wonderful saffron gravy. The taste and presentation of the food is beyond praise. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Then the manager came up to us to ask if we were satisfied. Of course, we answered, everything is fine, and I promised to write a great review. Which I do with pleasure.
