My family and I were in clearwater Bch for 3 days looking for a home to buy to move there. We decided to check the beach out, We have a 2 1/2 pound yorkie, 5 years old. We were told the only bch that allowed dogs was Honeymoon bch, so we went there and you had to walk 1/4 mile thru brush and swamp and the mosquitos were all over us, thousands of them. We didn't make it to the beach as we were getting bitten so many times, my son-in-law did go on down to the beach and couldn't get to it because there was swamp you had to cross to get to it. It was disgusting and all the mosquitos was a health hazard, I just hope and pray none of us get sick form the bites we got. That place needs to be shut down!!! It's a shame that people with dogs can't enjoy a day on the beach, and there are plenty of us out there. So we ended up buying a house in Flager Bch on the east coast, because they have a designated dog friendly bch , Daytona bch even has a designated area for dogs. You need to send someone out there to see for yourself how bad the mosquitos are and shut it down before someone gets really sick from all the bites.. It is a health hazard!!!!
