The two guys arrived on time and did a great job. Hard working and very accommodating. They were very mindful of helping me stay within my limited space so that I wouldn’t be charged extra for the truck space. This is my 3rd time using this company and every time they did a great job!!!!!

A very disheartening experience. The owner, Dave, met me and certainly appeared reputable. He quoted a price based on the contents of the house and scheduled the move. The movers arrived several hours late, with a couple of calls that they were “on their way”. They were personable and worked quickly. I was taking care of my aged mother and not watching the process closely, trusting they were thorough. When they arrived at the destination, an expensive display cabinet was brought into its new residence and as the men were carrying it, with minimal wrapping, the shelves came sliding out and broke the glass. My brother in law witnessed this. I hadn’t even noticed that they hadn’t removed the shelves or wrapped the inside. (The drop off end of the move had less men, arrived hours late, and no equipment to slide things and it took forever.) The damage was assessed and we spoke with the owner Dave. He told us that we had refused the insurance but admitted that the job was negligent and even told us that the young mover who did the driving would probably have to reimburse him. He said he would appeal HIS insurance and “one way or another@ we would be paid. The deadline passed. He apologized saying her forgot and another week passed and no payment was received. He has not replied to my recent text. The troubling aspect of this experience has been that the owner has strung us along so that we feel like idiots. He acknowledged the negligence and promised on several occasions to make things right. We have text messages assuring this. We have since seen several other reviews (without having to look too long and hard) that fit a similar “modus operendi”. We also saw many variations of the same company. Dixie, All-Dixie etc which is what companies do when they get bad reviews and want to spread around the bad news. I should add that everything in this review is absolutely true and it isn’t meant to be vengeful. Just to share our experience and to express our frustration at not having much further recourse. Had the owner made us whole, i would not have written this review. Things happen in life, it how one responds to those occurrences that set us apart.

I left my moving company, already line up for Dixie moving and I regret my decision. If you already have a previous moving company and they are good, stick with them. Don't switch company for a sweet talk or discount. My cash discount will entitle me for a poor and undesirable experience with dave @ Dixies moving. If you get a call from someone like dave from Dixie moving, Trying to tell that he does a better job that anybody else and give you a better price. Think again and again. I got my delivery @10:40pm after I requested after 3pm delivery after my house closing. My kids and wife were sleeping on the floor, tires of waiting. I called dave several time, but he doesn't like answer your calls, just like to text you And when you ask and complain. He doesn't reply but if you ask for a discount, he's fights back thru text with you. With attitude and excuse and no apology at all. He's drivers were apologizing for him. A little discount with a company you don't know, how big of headache you will get. Stick with what you know and don't trust any sweet talk. Dave You won this time, but you lost a customer for life. That was very dirty of you and coward. Also they dropped my temper glass outdoor dining table, lucky didn't brake, just scratch, but the insurance doesn't cover his scratches
