The people who are now running the store are very interested in your life and what you can actually afford instead of just giving you a lot of stuff you can't make payments on.

I've rented and completed agreements multiple times through Aaron's over a span of 15+ years. While it is true it will cost you more to "rent to own" through anyone due to fees etc. However, when one needs something right away and does not have the full amount on hand (Children need beds!), Aaron's is the very best place to go.
They give great deals, have good sales, will work with you if you run into a financial snag, and have always been polite and courteous to me. Granted, some of this is possibly due to the fact I ALWAYS tried to keep them informed if I ran into a problem with my payment and did not avoid calls when it occurred. I think keeping communication open between a company and a customer even in uncomfortable situations is key to keeping it a positive relationship.
Aaron's has proven it time and time again, after all!
