Planswell

We did the phone meeting with Planswell to learn about their offerings and ultimately decided it wasn't for us. Since that meeting we have been contacted by several Planswell reps by phone and e-mail, even after asking more than once to be removed from their follow-up list. Most recently they left a message and followed-up without identifying themselves as Planswell (initially asking about insurance) and then attempted again to onboard us. Planswell does not seem to take no for an answer and it's beginning to feel like harassment.

Review update: At the time of this update, I have tested this theory out and it has come to my attention that if you sign up as a user and select that you do not want to be contacted by an advisor, you will likely be contacted by one anyway, as I was. Consequently, it seems that if you are an advisor who is paying for these leads, you are likely receiving at least a portion of leads who selected specifically to not be contacted by an advisor (previously it was thought you'd receive some that "didn't say yes explicitly, but now it seems likely that you'll receive some that specifically said "no"). I am writing this as a recount of my personal experience in a non-disparaging statement to simply better explain how this service works to the general consumer. Older post: In my personal, non-disparaging statement of my own beliefs and experiences: advisers considering paying to partner with Planswell should be aware that I believe the users of the software do not expressly request to be contacted by an advisor. Because of this, they are not as "warm" of leads as I may have initially understood them to be when I signed up, which may have been in my own error. To the credit of Planswell, they refunded me every penny from my experience. As with any service, persons wishing to utilize this service should weigh the cost of the service against the benefit of the service provided, which in this case I believe is access to users of the software that do not expressly request to be contacted by an adviser.

This web-site is only set up to give their sales people leads. After opening a free online account I was getting text messages and phone calls from sales people trying to sell me insurance. I was hoping that by creating an account I would have access to some self serve options or more financial planning tools. The account seems to be a lead generating tools to sell financial services and insurance.

I had someone call me today. I politely told him I wasn't interested and that they had called numerous times and I would like to be taken off the call list. The youung man then proceeded to mouth off that I shouldn't fill out forms if i didn't want people to call me and that he had never called me. he was a disrespectful punk.
