Great online store with excellent prices on many different products. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. My only suggestion for improving customer service is to have more options for shipping products. Let us choose how we want to spend our money. Shipping has gotten very expensive (44% price increase for my last purchase) and in some cases makes the purchase/shipping of products cost prohibitive. I would love to visit the store in person to support your business. Very nice Christmas letter Scott! Thank you.

I ordered a high end 3rd Rail brass Southern Pacific locomotive and tender from Trainz which was advertised as being in C-8 like new condition that was shipped to me inappropriately in an ordinary box tightly wrapped in bubble wrap and taped up cardboard which resulted in damage to the delicate applied brass fittings on both the locomotive and tender. This occurred while Trainz offered and sold by auction the original box with the proper foam protection necessary to ship this item. Trainz’s “solution” to rectify the problem is to have Fed Ex come and pick up the locomotive and tender and the improper wrapping so that Fed Ex can examine the items and determine whether they will reimburse Trainz and then me for the damage. This is not acceptable to me as there is no guarantee that Fed Ex will return the items to me or handle the items in such a way as to prevent further damage. I provided Trainz with photographic evidence of their improper packing and the damage to the locomotive and tender. I have contacted the manufacturer and they can repair the damage and provide me with a proper box with protective foam at a reasonable rate. This is the only way one can ascertain the actual cost to fix the damage that occurred and repair it. So far Trainz’s customer service representatives always parrot the company line that turning things over to Fed Ex is the only way to get compensation for the damage. They will not discuss the situation by telephone and are totally unreasonable in dealing with the damage they caused to an expensive and quite rare locomotive and tender. I do not recommend this seller and buying any high end scale brass items from this company is something you do at your own risk! Buyer beware!
