I don't really understand all the bad reviews. I've been dealing with Steve for probably 8 years now. He's a great guy and will do what he can to make sure your happy. I'm an RC guy and yes it is sometimes easier to order offline but I like to try to support my local RC Shop. As I said Steve is a good guy and always try's to help when he can. Highly recommended!

Very strict on the 30day return policy.  I had $30 in returns.  Not customer oriented.  Went in there to spend a chunck of money but rather take my business to Atlanta Hobby..

We bought a race track here and when we got home, it didnt work. At time of purchase, the clerk promised us if there were any issues, we would be refunded. When we attempted to return it, they wouldnt take it back. I took it up with Amex, and the owner (Stephen Emerson) lied about the condition of the merchandise, and even cancelled the store credit. I would avoid this place at all costs, they are not quality people and dont stand by their products or word. American Express credited my account in the end, but these crooks got to keep the money.

Went in on Sunday 1/13 to get batteries for my sons RC cars.  The LiPo battery was suggest to us even though we'd need to buy a new charger, I checked and saw that I could get them cheaper on Amazon but wanted to support local small business.  Told the staff that it need to be easy to use as I wanted my 11 & 13 year old boys to do this on their own.  I was assured that it was easy and they would not have any problems.  Spent $160.00 and in 24 hours 1 of the batteries was not working.  Called the store and talked with Bo, he told me we must have ran the battery down to far and that it would not work.  I let him know that we were not given that warning.  He said alls he could do was to sell me a new battery.  What crappy service, i went to the hobby store instead of Amazon as I wanted to ensure we were getting the right parts and given the right guidance.  So much for shopping local, well down HobbyTown you will never get any of my business again.

Place is just kinda low tbh. Website doesn't accurately reflect what is in stock and even though I ordered something 2 days in advance it wasn't in stock for store pickup and I had to buy a different product that I happened to see in stock and had to tell the store employee they did have them.A few years ago I visited this location and purchased a helium invictus. Helion IS a HOBBYTOWN BRAND and they are obligated to perform warranty repair on all Helion products, but this location refused to acknowledge this fact when we went in for a differential that failed within 10 packs. They where insisting we needed to contact helion, and helion insisted we needed to visit Hobbytown to have this repair performed. It ended in 2 angry customers and a angry store manager in a screaming match between each otherI only purchase from here out of desperation now. If I didn't need that charger that day I would have gone somewhere else or waited on shipping
