Cynthia Meertens - State Farm Insurance Agent

I needed to transfer insurance to my new car and get coverage for vehicle registration. Unlike other agencies, Cynthia responded quickly to my texts and emails. I received a temporary insurance card within a few hour. There was NOT a single automated response: "please hold," "press 123," or "please try another department." Cynthia honored my request. On top of that, she found ways to give me discounts: $4 off with disability benefits, 5% off with drive safe beacon, 10% off with denfensive driving class, up to 14% off with house/car bundle, and the list goes on. When I told her, I wanted to shop around, because all that sounded too good to be true, she respected my decision. However, after I called 4 different agencies, all with excellent reviews, for a quote, none of them could match her price. Most importantly, we ended up chatting about community service, gratitude, and family. Cynthia gave students music instruments, taught her sons about appreciation, and shared story about her father. This was the highlight of my impression of her; Cynthia is a part of her local community, not just a salesperson. In addition, it was not her staff members, who cleaned up the leaves at the stairwell, a common area shared by multiple businesses. I literally thought she was a custodian. When no one else was looking, small gestures revealed true characters. Cynthia is humble and compassionate.

Cynthia and her team went above and beyond to not only address my questions or concerns while quoting me for Auto and Renter’s Insurance but also to give me the best rates possible. She also walked me through the possibilities to earn more discounts to reduce my monthly premiums in a transparent manner. Cynthia is accommodating to her customers working off hours too for them, is attentive/an active listener, and summarizes to assure she understands you. Her work deserves great applauds and even just for her way of conducting business with customers. I have no doubt that I will refer her and her team to my friends whenever possible. Great work, Cynthia and team. Keep it up!

Small space that is semi hard to find. However, client service is phenomenal.

When they made a promise, they were nice and confident. However, when you want they to keep the promise, they are as slow as a sloth, potentially a dead one. One of their staff told me that I could cancel my renter's policy any time I want and get refund for the rest of the period. I called them several time a month ago to start the refund process, and a staff told me that it took around two weeks for the refund to be processed. However, I have not received any followup email, calls nor refund since then. I called the site today, and the office was not available. Then I was routed to the state farm customer service. And, of course. "Thank you for holding. Your call will NEVER be answered!" Well, just send me the refund and I ll take this off.

Had an awesome experience with this agency. Ms. Meertens had run preliminary numbers and was well prepared in advance of my visit. This allowed her to give me a personalized analysis that best suited my needs. The customer service of the agent and staff was great.
