Unfortunately I would not recommend Meritage. The house location was perfect for us so we went ahead and purchased not knowing or realizing how Meritage works. The lot wasn’t even shown to see where our property ended in any of our discussions with the sales rep. We recently found out when our neighbors got their lot surveyed. The attention to detail doesn’t exist inside and outside of the home. The trim in our house looks awful even after being replaced/repainted several times that I’ve given up. I wish I knew beforehand that Meritage doesn’t take pride in how these houses look. The construction supervisor even had forwarded my concerns to his VP/bosses and no one ever reached out to us. They don’t care. You are literally done with them once you sign the Sales contract. Services: Drywall installation, Floor fitting, Water fixture installation, Interior decorating, Exterior decorating, Drywall repair, Tile fitters, Design, Flooring, Fan installation

If you from California and have 500k to put on a house. This is the place. But I still don't recommend it. Rather go to Woodstock and look for a 350k house. It won't go for less than 380k. Renovate it, make it a smart home. Sell It for 600k, someone will pay 640. These people are greedy. The houses are tightly compacted. Drive around, and you will find way better new constructions for cheaper.

It would be nice if the builder would get the contractors to pick ONE side to park and place material so others can get around. Also, the portable toilets smell like sewage plants and are noticeable throughout the community.
