Don is the best machinist in the southeast I guarantee. He does it right too, he has all nice machinery and uses the best parts. He built me a Jeep stroker motor that was killer and it lasted until I sold the vehicle. 75,000 miles on the motor no problem.

Shop was very dirty/disorganized, some might say a shop is usually this way, but this looked like something off hoarders. Don did not show up on time and was almost a hour late opening the business. Both when i dropped off the engine and when i picked it up. After walking in i find that there was a helper of his sleeping inside the shop, im pretty sure he was living there. I did stop in one time to check on the progress because it was taking months longer then he had quoted me. Of course barely anything was done, it took him 3 months to build a v6 from a Mitsubishi. After getting the car back together the engine lasted maybe 100 miles before spinning crank bearings. It was later determined that the engine was not balanced or assembled properly. I called Don and he wanted me to bring it back in so he could put new bearings in, but the crank was trashed at this point... Please do not consider this place at all.
