It is the worst place ever. Please don't stay here. I'm so pissed. They want to charge me for $62.50. You know why they want to charge me because my roommate made a mess in a common areas. Before I left One West I clean my room, kitchen and bathroom but I cannot clean the common room because those mess are not my stuffs. Why do I have to clean my roommate's stuffs. This is so nonsensical. This is so insane. I'm so so mad. They just want to take advantages from student. Please don't stay here.

So update to my last review..... they have all new staff than they did a year ago. And its only gotten better. They now have a shuttle for the #scad students and who ever else wants to use it. And they are looking to expand the study abroad program to out of state as well. Oh and the best part you dont have to be a student to live here. In the past year they have added a grill and fire pit.

I currently live here and One West Victory is located very conveniently to the scad academic buildings I need to go to. I dont know about anyone else but when i arrived in june at the start of my lease the apartment I was placed into had a gnat problem, they were absolutely everywhere, and now since the start of the new school year I have roaches and ants. my roommate and I left for winter break leaving the apartment completely cleaned and the fridge and VERY minimal Cabinets spaces empty of food only to come back to a literal pile of roaches in the kitchen area. My roommate and I wiped down all the surfaces, mopped the floors, vacuumed once we got back from break. I washed my sheets that same day.. i woke up that night with a roach in my bed. and i went to the bathroom there were 5 roaches in the shower and 3 on the floor by the toilet. i then went to the kitchen only to find 6 more roaches scurrying around the kitchen sink, the stove top and the outer fridge lining. they come through the cracks where the wall meets the floor and where the holes allowing pipes and wires to go through the wall to connect to the various plumbing and electrical appliances. Ofcourse i could complain to management but odds are im just going to be told to buy my own roach traps as if the roaches are my fault. Other things that aren't great (but are overshadowed by the roaches [my biggest problem) include the paper thin walls, you can here everything from the hallways and outside windows (including the garbage truck that wakes me up every morning between (12am - 4 am). Maintenance/owners/employees will come into the apartment without any notice which is honestly rude considering im paying $800+ a month to have keys and call it "my apartment" I wouldnt be so opposed if i got a good 24 hours notice (pray to God Im not naked and in the shower the next time someone comes knocking on my door because odds are even if I dont answer they will let themselves in. and finally while you have some say in who you room with (the roommate Application) you never know when you are going to get a roommate. apparently most residents get an email when a roommate has been chosen. my former roommate (who was here long before i moved in got one maybe an hour before my move in time, however I wouldn't know for sure if these emails are real because I never got said email when my new roommate came through the door. Im not an unreasonable person, I'm not gonna put up a fight when someone who is payed or paying to maintain or stay at the place knocks on my door to come in, but notice as to who, when and why, would be appreciated and leave me with a lot less distain for the place. I believe One west is the most affordable option for students trying to live in savannah ( Im stuck living here until I graduate [3 years] solely for that reason) the management is nice enough, very friendly but not much else can be said for courtesy and cleanliness.

Just to give you an idea of what they will allow you to live in, here is my experience when I lived there. 1) I was attending SCAD and left the apartment for roughly 1/2 years to go to college at a different campus. 2) Before I left, I emailed the apartment about my upcoming absence. Both to be courteous and to save myself should there be issues later. Obviously, there were. 3) (added bonus) They emailed every resident a notice about a new policy for bicycles. They must be labeled with stickers acquired from the office because non-resident bicycles were being stored in the garage. If they were unlabeled they were to be taken to the dump. Understandable. Except, they told us to do it within days. I'm still outside of Georgia for the next few months. 4) Upon returning, I was in utter shock to find the condition of the apartment my room mates left it in. Here's a list of what happened: Counters covered in colorful liquid, presumably jello shots. Dishes piled, unwashed, in the sink. Weed sitting in the open on the living room table (this is a problem because it was currently illegal and I could have been found at fault for it). MY drinking glasses stolen. A footprint on my room mate's door (Apparently, one of my room mates had beef with someone who then targeted her room to break into). 5) Immediately I photographed everything and stormed to the office. I explain everything and show them the evidence. Guess what they say? "OH, that apartment? Yes, it's been under investigation." Excuse me? I take the time to tell you about my personal business but you can't inform me that I may be under investigation due to terrible people? 6) They ONLY allowed me to move after I threatened to go to the police about how they let me continue to pay rent for such a place with such people, who they KNEW were horrible because they're currently under investigation. 7) After I moved, they really tried to charge me for the moving fee. I again threatened them with the evidence I still had of the condition of the apartment. Needless to say, I quickly moved to a new apartment building altogether. Stay far away from such a business.
