Pretty "unwelcoming" for a Welcome Center. We stopped here during a housing search in the area to gather info, charge our EV, and eat lunch. EV chargers didn't work - staff inside had no knowledge about them, nor who to call. After eating lunch in car, went inside and looked at brochures, asked questions. No one greeted us, or offered to provide information when we said we what our purpose was. They finally coughed up a map when we asked, but said "we don't like to give these out, they're expensive". They did offer to sell us a DVD of one of the B movies shot in the area.
Edit - we visited on a Monday. Staff, not volunteers, were working there. And we told them about the chargers.

The Toccoa Chamber of Commerce is connected to its businesses and truly cares about their success. They work tirelessly to provide the tools and events they need to connect with each other to promote success. I am a young person in the community and I see so much value in this establishment. Keep up the good work!

STEPHEN'S COUNTY WELCOME CENTER!When visiting the town of Toccoa, don't forget to stop by the Stephen's County Welcome Center which is located in the historic depot along with the Currahee Military Museum and gift shop.  You will enter through the museum entrance which is the very first door on the left. The center is well stocked with useful information for the immediate area and beyond, (state of GA).  When we visited, it was staffed by two men who were very helpful in providing information and directions.  If you start here, you can use their really nice restrooms before starting out on your journey.   ***I noticed that the center had souvenir items for the museum but none for the town.  This was certainly a missed opportunity, especially during festival weekend.
