This is a tremendous Adult Language Program. It is taught by native speakers both online and in-person. The classes are conversation based and there is a strong sense of community among the students (post-class happy hours in the second floor bar or on the roof deck). There are also a bunch of events for neighborhood nights where the rooftop bar is open, festivals, events. Even though many of us who attend DANK events speak German, there is absolutely no need to speak German to come to events.

We loved our wedding at DANK Hauss 6th floor Terrace and Skyline Lounge! We had our ceremony and dancing on the Terrace and cocktail hour and dinner in the Skyline Lounge. The Terrace view has a beautiful view of the Chicago Skyline and it was magical to have pictures and dancing with the stunning view! The Skyline Lounge is amazing with old Chicago architecture with gold designs and a beautiful mirror where we placed our sweet heart table in front of. We thought the 6th floor was wonderful for our wedding of about 65 people! We also saved a lot of money because DANK Haus allows whatever food to be served if you have general liability insurance. We were able to find a staffing company who served food and provided this! We really wanted specific food so this allowed us to serve the food we wanted and was much cheaper than at other venues! The bar was BYOB and we saved a lot of money by buying liquor from Costco and returning extra! It was also amazing that a bartender and security guard is included in the Skyline Lounge rental at no cost! Some things to keep in mind is glassware and linens are not provided by the venue. So you can hire a catering company that can provide these items or rent separately from other companies.

The Dank Haus is such a staple in the Lincoln Square community.  If you haven't been here yet, follow their socials and get on their newsletter to find an event that interests you.  On our latest visit, during the annual Open House Chicago architecture event throughout the city, we came in to appreciate the beauty of this big building.  We popped up to the second floor bar to enjoy some beer and enjoyed watching the indoor shooting (not as scary as it sounds).  The volunteers, regulars, and fellow patrons are always a good group to hang out with.  If you're lucky enough to attend an event on the sixth floor, be sure to take photos out on the patio as the views are pretty nice! As far as transportation, it's right off the Western CTA Brown Line stop.  There's paid parking on the closest streets (or lots).  If you're willing to walk a few minutes, almost everything west of Western is free neighborhood parking.

Great place to hold a wedding I attended. Two floors are available, so while one phase is happening on one floor, the other floor can be set up for the next phase of the celebration: ceremony, reception line & bar, dinner, dancing. See the view from the patio at night.
