Linda sent us home with a dog that was aggressive and had bit people before.   We had already discussed that there was some boundary issues with Rocky (Murphy) and she even said that the last owners gave him back because "i think another dog attacked him".    At the meet and greet..  he was fine.   he and my other dog barked at each other for a moment and then just sniffed.   When we got him home he was fine until we went for a 2nd walk around 830pm.   That is when the growling and biting happened.   He ended up biting me 3 times (Luckly no skin was broken).   After trying to figure out what was going on I called Linda.   1st time it rang and then went to voice mail.   after that... all calls went straight to voice mail and no texts were responded to.  She lives close so at 9:30pm I went to her house...  no one answered the door.  I left a note on their door but never called me back that night.   She FINALLY called me back on Monday morning, but I was in a meeting.   Called back a little later - went to voice mail.   still no response from texts.  I reached out to the trainer she had said had worked with him.  My husband also reached out to our vet to find out the best way to surrender the dog.   After I talked to the trainer... and my husband talked to the vets office...   Linda was calling me within 15 minutes.   Apparently, the trainer telling her that he had told me the truth and the vet telling her that they were going to call the police scared her enough to call me back. She tried to play it off as no big deal but that was short lived.  at the end she had to go pick up the dog from our apartment.   A dog rescue that gives an aggressive dog away (no fee was charged), does not disclose it, and then blocks the new owners number so they could not reach her, lied to the vet, disregarded the trainers warning of the dog not being ready for adoption.   it is not only the dogs that need rescued... it is the community that needs rescued from Linda.

We love the dog we adopted from Perfectly Posh Paws. But the adoption process was rough, and the training process since adoption has been difficult as well. Throughout the adoption process, it was very difficult to communicate with PPP. We received a lot of frantic texts from the org's owner asking if we would adopt the dogs they came across. Once we expressed interest in a particular dog, we felt a lot of pressure from PPP to adopt ASAP, which didn't give us much time to make an informed decision or ask all the questions we needed to. The org's owner was often confrontational and rude when we asked questions about the dog or the process. PPP told us the dog was a basenji mix that weighed 45 lbs. and would not grow any more. 6 months after adoption, we have a 70 lb. pitbull mix on our hands. No beef with pitties, he's just super strong and hard to control. PPP told us the dog was great with other dogs, leash trained, calm, and had no behavioral issues. We didn't see much evidence against that on our foster visit, so we believed the info. However, our dog struggles with reactivity and high aggression towards other dogs. When we contacted PPP to get more information on his history with dog interaction (so we could work on these issues with our trainer), PPP avoided the question and eventually stopped responding to us. All in all, Perfectly Posh Paws doesn't seem to be good at communicating openly, honestly, or realistically with potential adopters.
