One of our drivers misplaced our truck's current insurance card and I learned about it while taking new drivers to DMV to take a road test. I called State Farm to email me a copy of our current card, and found out their system was down nationwide. They told me it should be back up in 20 minutes. Never came back up, so after 5 hrs waiting at the DMV, we had to leave. The next day Georgopulos' office emailed us a card that had already expired (thanks for that- I was lucky to catch it before wasting another day at the DMV- It's your office's job to make sure we receive accurate information, I don't have time to double check your company's sloppiness). Fast forward a week and a half -with multiple phone calls to this office/customer service- and still no card. Both CS and Georgopulos' office said they have to "order them"- So, State Farm- you don't print your client's cards inhouse, or keep any of your client's current information in a system that's accessible to either public-facing cs agents, or the local policy holders office? There isn't one other insurance company that won't email customers current copies of their already-paid-for current proof of insurance cards. Should I wait for my newly "ordered" set to arrive by carrier pigeon or pony express? Or will the person you have individually hand writing each card in some inaccessible location, personally drive it to our office, and declare, "This is your last copy, I don't want to have to craft any more of these for you..." In the meantime, no ability to certify new drivers has had a huge negative impact on our company. Before you choose State Farm ask yourself "It's 2019, do I want to give my money to an insurance company that can't email me a copy of my current proof of insurance in less than 10 minutes? And do I want to risk driving illegally because this office can't take the time to verify their work?
