Took my son in due to his wisdom teeth needing removed, based on a previous visit from Aspen. 2 teeth cleanings and a consultation later, we was told all 4 wisdom teeth were impacted and sideways and needed to be removed along with the 2 back molars. Appointment was made with the surgeon, who only comes to the office once a month, and we were told after insurance that the $6000 worth of work would cost me roughly $1700:outta pocket. All of which, of course, had to be paid before any services would take place. I got approved for the credit card for the full $1700 worth of work. We get the instructions, no food or drink, etc, and go in the morning of surgery, 30 mins early. He goes back alone, of course, because they don't allow parents to be in the rooms, and within minutes, they call me back to let me know what would be taking place. Now the surgeon, same one from the consultation I will add, claims that he thinks if he pulls the 2 molars like planned that now the top 2 (impacted and sideways wisdom teeth) will be able to grow in. So the plan is 2 molars and bottom wisdom. 15 mins later they come get me and tell me they didn't pull any wisdom teeth, just the 2 molars and he will need to go to indy to the surgical center and have his wisdom teeth pulled there. They will call me later after the dr gives his notes for the day. 1 month later I call to inquire as to why we have had no follow up appointment made and why am I still paying on a credit card for all this work that never got done, to be told it still cost the same amount (even tho she already told me the surgical center will bill medical insurance as well due to the extraction needing done there at the surgery center) no one still to this day 2 months later has made a follow appointment to have his wisdom teeth pulled or taking a penny off of my bill. How do u pay ahead for services to include 6 total teeth to be extracted to only get 2 molars pulled and even try to say the price is the same. Beyond irate at this point and am starting to think aspen is nothing but money hungry scam artists. Probably should address my complaint before I take it further

Update: After posting this, I did receive a phone call the next morning for a post op follow up appointment. It still took 3 weeks or longer to get the appointment. His teeth were pulled 3 months prior. Not a very quick post-op, but we got there for that appointment and waited an hour to be taken back to the room, and the dr didn't even look in his mouth. Proceeded to tell us that we would have to go to Indy to have the surgery, and they would call and let us know when. Basically, we knew that already, so I'm not sure why we had to go in, but nonetheless, they got us in.

We was informed that my medical insurance denied paying for the surgery to have my son's wisdom teeth pulled. But that the dr was appealing that due to the fact that my son needed this surgery done period. I asked last time we was in the office regarding the monthly payments on their credit card I was making, since he hadn't had any thing done yet, and was told it will all come off the bill since he will need the procedure done still. Well it is now the 6th of April and I'm still paying for a procedure that my insurance won't pay for nor will the dentist do. Why are you still taking my money? If I stop paying then it goes on my credit report since it's a credit card payment I'd be not making. Aspen Dental you really need to do better. I once used to recommend this place now I make sure to tell people what you guys are really about..money not customer care

They took really good care of me! Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. They really take the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. I would recommend this office to my friends and family
