Overall, not impressed. I have a bit of a unique tax situation where I have dual-state filing. I called Bapple because they are a large firm and I thought they would be knowledgeable about my situation. I will say that my initial meeting with Rachel was pleasant, but then I received a bill for $365 (10 hours of "research") for them to figure out how to file for me. Then it would have cost me another $350 to file. I went to H&R Block for a second opinion and they were familiar with my situation and knew how to file with no research required. The final straw was when Matt Bapple told me "I dont care where you file", so I went back to H&R Block and they filed my return in 30 min. In the end, I paid Bapple $365 to research something that H&R Block considered common knowledge and charged me $0 for. I dont mind paying for a service, but had I known it would cost me $365 for "research" (not part of their fee schedule), I would have walked away. Based on my experience with H&R Block, I think Bapple should have known how to file an individual tax return without charging me $365 to figure it out.
