My brother and I began going here in the early 80s with my late grandfather. I have lived all over the US and nostalgically missed Bronko's since the late 80s. Only in the past few years have I decided to return to places I remember having a great meal now that I have a family and live "closer". Ok, I have never had pizza here. Really. Their fried chicken is so good and tastes exactly like it was 35 years ago! We usually dine-in on the way to Chicago or returning to Ohio. My family, too, really likes the chicken. Now that Merrillville and Gary have become dumps, it's great to know that one place that I remembered is still just like it was when I was a kid, even run by the same family.
