        Jan had me take the wornout seat cushions off the 8 chairs and sent me to a near by upholstery fabric company that had beautiful fabric swatches to take home. The next day I bought the fabric and returned to Shambles with the cushions and fabric. Jan told me the cost for the work and it was very good. Shambles is busy. She told me when the chairs would be completed and they were. I reinstalled the new cushions/seats. They are now our beautiful dining room chairs! Thanks Shambles! We love them!

        If I could, I would give it less than a 1. We had them work on our kitchen table. They brought it back and I noticed a scratch right away, so eventually they took it back to redo. We asked that the table be usable. We have three kids and it’s a table that is used all day, every day. We got the table back with a letter explaining the finish could not place a pizza box on the table, a glass, etc. I promptly put a tablecloth on the table (which I didn’t want to do, but alas). I bought coasters and heat resistant placemats. Within 24 hours, our table had become one with the tablecloth. Little marks from the cloth had melted into the finish. We took the cloth off. A few days later we placed an Amazon box on the table. It left a huge mark. When we contacted them they said that (even though they had had our table for five weeks by this point), they had put the finish on Friday and delivered it to us Monday, and it “should’ve cured longer”. So now we have to take it back again. This time we implored them to use what our contractor called a “durable finish.” They told us they will resand it down, and apply the same finish again, and accused us of “abusing” the table. This is my grandmother’s antique table that we have spent literally thousands of dollars on. We love this table. We are so frustrated.
