Family Health Clinic - Carroll

My provider here is absolutely amazing but the way everything else goes at the clinic is difficult. I always get directed to the nurse line when I have questions, which is perfectly reasonable, and talking to a nurse would be helpful but actually getting the chance to talk to one involves many days of phone tag. I don’t think anyone actually answers the nurse line, just listens to the voicemail you leave. The voicemail is not long enough to record everything you need which is why it is important to be able to talk to someone. I have been on hold for an hour plus on the nurse line which continuously said “I was the first caller in line” but never actually got through to anyone. I’ve tested this several occasions so I am going to gather no one actually intends on answering the phone so it is not very productive if you actually have and urgent question or issue that needs addressed. I would love to go to a different facility that runs more effectively but I also don’t want to have to lose my amazing provider.

Did you know a Covid test tells you if you have Strep, Flu, Covid, Cold, Sinus infection, cause I sure didn't... Heck, it negates the need for in person doctors visits!! If you have a negative covid test, you must not be sick at all and can return to work!! Worst visit ever. Called sick Friday. Told I'd be screened for strep and covid because I was pretty sure it was not covid already. Went in Friday and got tested for covid only. When it was negative, I was told to come back Monday. Okay, I thought maybe I'd see a doc but again only test for covid and nothing else and saw NOBODY. I say again: worst visit ever. Gross oversight of medical practices. I should have seen a doctor Friday. I'm still terribly ill but I have no choice but to go cough on every single person I meet and tell them exactly which office says I'm fine and not contagious of any sort based on a Covid test.
