    I have been going to Indy Dental for roughly 24 years. Overall, I have been pleased with the service up until recently. I had an appointment on 12/28/23, my 50th birthday. At that time, the front office personnel advised me that they would no longer be accepting my insurance as of 1/1/24. Since I had been with Indy Dental for so many years and really liked the service I received, I elected to change dental insurance. That began a long nightmare. I was advised that Indy Dental took DenteMax. My employer gives a portion towards benefits. However, I have to shop for my own plan. I found a dental, health and vision plan, which stated it included DenteMax. However, it did not. So, I discontinued that plan. I then found an Anthem plan. However, the agent who signed me up failed to mention that it was an HMO, not a PPO. Indy Dental does not take Anthem HMO plans. So, that was out. I then sought out DenteMax solely on my own. All of this while needing to get a crown. I asked Alexis, who is a front office staff member at Indy Dental, for an estimate. My dealings with her have not been the best. While she is not rude, she never seems to accept responsibility for matters. She puts all of the blame on the office manager. She is also slow to follow up on matters. I needed an estimate ASAP, so that I could get the appointment for the crown scheduled. She was slow to follow up with the estimate, and when she did provide it, DenteMax told me that she misquoted me by 200.00. Why do I know this, because I called DenteMax and told them to cancel the coverage. I then called Indy Dental and told them to cancel my appointment. To date, it has been almost 3 months since I received periodontal maintenance. Remember 12/28/23, my 50th birthday. I was charged 34.00 over the amount that I should have been for the service. I received a letter from my old insurance company in January letting me know what I should have paid for the service. I called Indy Dental about it. To date, I am still waiting for a check. I have been told on three separate occasions that they needed to speak with the office manager. Yet, I never received a call back. Does it truly take 2 months to issue a check?

    Great experience today at Indy Dental Group. Ally and Dr. Bolander couldnt be nicer and more communicative about my current dental condition. I would highly recommend this practice and its personnel.
