SOME OF BEST ADVERTISERS IN SCOOP MAGAZINE!!!

Scoop Magazine is an interesting little magazine published here in Indianapolis. It has been around for years, though you'd be hard-pressed to find too many people, even within its African-American target community, who actually know it exists. Scoop Magazine offers both print and digital editions, though the digital edition is even more ad-heavy and lacks a considerable amount of the content of the print tabloid. Scoop comes out monthly and has a strong urban flavor to it and is almost exclusively devoted to the African-American community. Interestingly enough, in my early writing days I was one of their writers as I was attending a primarily Black college at the time. The publication still tends to cover culture, entertainment, local events, features of local African-American community leaders, and more. It's an interesting magazine that reads about as quickly as a lot of those free publications that you pick up, you browse, then you toss it aside. The publication cites a mission of connecting consumers and businesses. If you're in Indy's urban areas, you'll likely see Scoop display cases and it's not that hard to see the occasional Scoop t-shirt. Truthfully, I enjoyed writing for them and feel like they accomplish quite a bit with not a lot. I ended up having to quit writing for them as the office they had at the time was not wheelchair friendly. I have no idea if this has changed. I'm not sure what their circulation is, but I continue to be impressed that all these years later Scoop Magazine is still around here in Indy.
