Sally Behrens was much fairer than I could've ever hoped for. She was something of a "mother figure" you didn't want to let down. If you have misfortune of being assigned a Probation Officer, you could do much worse than being assigned to her.

Obviously nobody wants to deal with being on the wrong side of the justice system, but this place is an absolute joke of a branch of the Boone County corrections department. Unprofessional, unconcerned, unorganized... people sitting in a waiting room for long stretches well beyond their scheduled appointment time, while their PBO stands in plain view, snacking, socializing, playing on their phone. True one must do something to get one’s self here, but to be treated with such an utter lack of respect for one’s attempt to get life turned around and straightened out and with such blatant disregard for one’s time is an absolute disgrace to the institutions that have been put in place to attempt to manage our society. Appalling. There is a department supervisor somewhere in that building that needs to do some serious reconsideration as far as to whom this civil duty is being entrusted. One star, only because zero is not an option.
