Didn't appear to be interested in repairing my Bolens 1461 tractor. Said that they couldn't get parts for that old of a tractor and that they were backed up for 4 weeks. I didn't care about the wait, I just need the tractor repaired. I can get the parts, just needed someone experienced in Bolens tractors to repair it. Sure do miss the Bolens servicer in Centerville. I'll call around and find someone.

Thanks to a Bolens dealer in Pennsylvania, one in Ohio and another in New York, I was able to repair my 40 year old tractor myself. They were very respectful and concerned that I keep my vintage tractor functioning. Parts ARE still readily available, some still OEM and others good used. To replace this tractor with one of comparable quality would cost over $3000 and I was able to get mine back up 100% for around $350. That included a good used transaxle, new OEM front motor mounts, OEM brake release spring, after market foot pads, repaint of over 90% and any original bolts removed, replaced with stainless steel.
