John is the best groomer I've ever used. I am on my 4th Schnauzer "Gomez" so I've met a few. If I moved clear across the WLKY viewing area I would still make the drive to take my dog there for grooming. I recently got another dog (boston terrier/yorkie mix) who will likely need grooming. If so, she will also be going to see John. Gomez gets excited when I ask him if he is ready to go see him. That's a very good sign! He does a great job but even if it wasn't as good as he does I have to say that my dog feeling comfortable and cared for is worth makes it worth it. It is obvious how well he treats the animals. At a groomer in Louisville I had once picked up my first Schnauzer and he was shaking as we left. "It was his first time so he'll be ok next time" she said. When I went back for the second visit he was trembling again. I didn't leave him there. I have NEVER experienced anything like that at Dahlem with John. Today I took the new puppy there for a first puppy check. I had never used their vet services. I found that the staff that's there for that purpose also does great with the animals. Dr. Dahlem treated "Tish" like royalty. I will be moving my Schnauzer's health care needs to Dahlem as well.

Will never ever take a dog or any animal for that matter them ever again.Also I dont know how they can call what mess they do to a dog grooming any child could do the job as well as they do.The staff is as rude as rude can be and they act like if you have a problem with them and the services they offer so what.If you love your pet then keep it away from this place its only a matter of time before you wish you had.

I've always had wonderful experiences there. Always spoken to in a professional and friendly manner. Great prices and good service!
