Brain Balance Center of Plainfield

Before our assessment at Brain Balance, I didn't realize that my very intelligent (and out-of-control) teen had developmental delays affecting his ability to control impulses or connect morality with his own actions. It was apparent that the older he got, the more he seemed different from his peers (immature, irresponsible, oblivious, irritable). It was as though he was stuck in the terrible twos (for many years). During his first month at BB, the tantrums stopped. The violent outbursts and property damage became rare, then stopped. By the time he graduated, he had closed the gap on many of his delays and is now a pleasant teen most of the time. For many years, I was constantly explaining my child to medical professionals and educators, and I was exhausted by endlessly explaining to folks who didn't understand. The staff at BB understood my child, especially his brain, which was a huge relief. They helped me understand him better so that I could be more empathetic with his challenges and academic needs. Our family relationships dramatically improved, and BB was a huge part of that. I'm so grateful that I discovered Brain Balance (which I attribute to Divine intervention rather than mere accident). Although the statistics that BB presented for ADHD are hopeful and ODD are insignificant, my child was so dramatically impacted that he no longer meets the diagnostic criteria for ODD. It's really a huge blessing. I no longer fear that he'll progress to CD or be a narcissist as an adult. I highly recommend visiting BB if you have a poorly understood or difficult child that standard methods of correction and academics don't work for.

Brain Balance really helped our family understand what kind of struggles my son was having. It was very intense and emotional journey but it has helped Eli to grow and have of better understanding of himself.

My son graduated the program, and after 12 months, he basically graduated with a new family. Annie, Jennifer, and Rhonda love these kids, and do everything they can to help make their lives easier. There are tons of resources that they are constantly sharing. I’m so happy to have been able to find this program

My son was enrolled in Brain Balance when he was 13-14, and we needed a lot of help. The methods seem unusual, and it takes a real commitment to the program, but the results were truly life-changing for my son. The staff is beyond caring, compassionate and dedicatedf! Don't let the price deter you...it really is an investment into your child and his/her future.

This facility was peaceful to visit and extremely knowledgeable! We went in with reservations! I was sceptical and wasn't considering due to the amount. The director reached out personally, shared her testimony and with prayer we considered the virtual option. It changed our lives! We had an incredible couch that made our daughter feel heard, but challenged. She encouraged us, and her! The tools provided were incredible! I wouldn't have believed it if we hadn't experienced it! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you INVEST, but not just financially but with your time, prayer and heart! It takes the couch, program and us, as parents and the benefits are beyond anything I could have prayed for! Our daughter went from being unable to express her feelings, unable to be around me, take direction, focus on school, or anything that she didn't 'want' to do - to being able to express herself! Able to smile, enjoy playing board games and reading books with me! Began focusing on learning how to read! She was having accidents, they stopped! She 'couldn't do anything' and learned how to ride her bike without training wheels!
