I love going to auctions but at this one the highest bid doesn't always win. Most of the stuff have a minimum bid price from the seller, however, Grabers likes wasting everyone's time by starting off way lower and if that minimum bid isn't met they contact the seller to see if they accept the highest bid (which most of the time they didnt). Sat and watched as 6 vehicles went through being bid on and not a single seller accepted the highest bid. This equals 20 minutes of my time wasted! There is a way more efficient way of operating a business that doesn't waste your customers time. I won't even start on the outrageous prices that were being turned down due to the seller thinking their vehicle is worth more than it is. SELL IT ON MARKETPLACE and stop wasting time here. One star is so generous due to the awful experience I had here.

Recently I purchased a number of fire fighting boots at an online only Graber action on behalf of the town of Winslow, Indiana. I thought it was odd that they only showed a photo of the back of each pair of boots and not a photo showing the front of the boots, but I had no experience with Graber auctions and was inclined to trust Graber would describe if a pair of the boots had MAJOR defects like giant holes in them making them unwearable. I could have made the 2 hour round trip the day before to preview them, sure, but that was a significant time and monetary expense and I felt inclined to go ahead and trust that Graber wouldnt sell unusable boots without describing the condition for their online buyers. So I purchased 8 pairs of boots at over 100 dollars. 3 of the 8 pairs had to be discarded and of the remaining 5, only 3 pairs should have been sold. So, I know now why they only took photos of the backs of the boots and I know what kind of people run Graber auctions. I suppose if I ever go back it will be for in person only auctions. A bad experience, a huge waste of time and money, and a really tough lesson learned about this auction house. UPDATE: I Graber auctions contacted me and refunded me for the defective boots. She lady from Graber was very very kind and apologetic.
