If you miss your payment due date, they call in 1 to 2 days asking why it wasn't paid and make you schedule a payment date to automatically come out. This got me in a jam and accidently made 2 payments in one month. After fighting for a refund of one payment, they finally sent me one and when the envelope finally came, the check wasn't even in it. This company is a joke.

My mortgage was sold to this company, there were changes of which I was not notified, I called and after providing me with a supposed solution, they did not process the request that they themselves offered me, they contradict the information they tell us every time we call. The worst attention I have ever received... I do not recommend it at all.....

I don't like this company at all... Our mortgage was bought from someone we never had issues with... And now since this company has our mortgage it's been nothing but issues... They tried taking a payment out of our account before the scheduled date and when the bank rejected it they tacked on late fees then tried taking it out a second time the next day when my account was froze because of them... Then they continue to call me while I'm at work and on the weekends early as can be ... I have a scheduled payment and instead of reading the computer they continue to call me... And my line of work doesn't allow me to just answer the phone whenever... I wish they would sell my mortgage to a better company... Then they sent us a check out of our escrow instead of leaving it there and then sent me a letter saying our escrow was in the negative and doesn't cover our taxes and insurance so they raised our house payment... And then they continued to call me asking why we were behind 1 payment and when I told them cuz their stupid they said to apply for assistance and just say we got behind because of COVID and when I told them I'm not going to lie they told me they suggested I do that to get caught up... If I could give zero stars I would...

Made a payment on time. Then they added a late fee after the bank failed to complete the transaction. However I was busy doing military service and never received the call or email from their customers service to be notified of the problem. They then threatened me with a derogatory credit report if payment not received. I made my payment on time the easy thing would be for them to reverse the late fee. I never was notified of the error until it was too late. Even though I was unable to answer my phone because of my duties they did not care to leave a voicemail or email. The first manager I spoke to did nothing to help and did try to refund me the late fee for Carringtons error. He proceeded to waste almost an hour of my time, because I called back half hour later and a different manager waived the late fee. Thanks for the help the 2nd time, but whoever I spoke to the first time was not helpful.

If I could give 0 stars, I would, nothing but run around since our mortgage was sold to them. Got a cancelation notice from my home insurance that my bill hasn't been paid. We are on escrow!! Update even after calling, they still sent off payment later than told me, Insurance was due 11/14. My insurer received a payment on the day of cancelation 11/27. If you want a circus run by monkeys, I nominate Carington Morgage Company! Wonder if I will have the same problem come tax season......Now, they sent me an email to help resolve the issue because I gave a bad review. New updated, have made more than my monthly payment every month since they took over, and now they say we are 2 months behind. It's the end of January, and I'm fixing to send my February payment off. It's time to call our lawyer on Monday, done with these clowns. They also tried to run 2 payments larger than my monthly payment thru yesterday, and I'm not on auto pay. Thank goodness I only put money in that account when I'm making a payment to avoid electronic fraud.
